Dr. Stables is a Clinical Assistant Professor who practices neuromuscular neurology with a specific interest in motor neuron diseases. She has a Biological Sciences undergraduate degree from Simon Fraser University, as well as a Medical Degree and Neurology residency training from the University of British Columbia, and a neuromuscular fellowship completed at the University of Calgary.
She leads the development of a provincial adult SMA program and is actively involved in medical education, serving as the service head for the neurology rotation at Royal Columbian Hospital and Secretary Treasurer for the Canadian Society of Neurophysiology.

Dr. David Rydz is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of British Columbia and neurologist with a sub-specialization in movement disorders. He also sees patients in the stroke prevention clinic and the urgent neurology clinic. He completed his MD as well as Bachelor of Science with honors in neuroscience at the University of Alberta. He completed his neurology residency training at the University of British Columbia followed by a fellowship in movement disorders at Columbia University in New York. He also completed a master's in science in the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at McGill University. Dr. Rydz is also committed to medical education. As a clinical instructor, he is actively involved in teaching residents and students.
